Problem Statement

The company only had a desktop-supported Learning Management System (LMS) web application, and they wanted to design a mobile-first application for their users that could address the following issues and later on will be implemented for a desktop web application:

Juggle between administrative application and LMS application.

Increased cognitive load with multiple logins

The UI of the application was not attractive.

Inconsistent usage of icons and poor visual hierarchy.

The application only had pages to view courseware and assignments

A new feature with bite-sized video clips offering quick insights to help students stay informed and learn efficiently.

Distraction-Free Learning

A distraction-free mode hides navigation while studying, while bookmarks, notes, a page-turn effect, and a side index bar make learning more focused, immersive, and easy to navigate.

Learning Dashboard

The home screen now shows progress, attendance, and assignment features that were missing in the old LMS.

Refer & Earn

The Refer & Earn feature motivates students to invite peers, boosting enrollments while rewarding learners creating a simple win-win.

Conclusion

This project reshaped how students interact with their learning platform, creating a seamless and efficient experience they can rely on anytime, anywhere. By unifying fee payments, queries, exam updates, and course materials into a single login, every design choice focused on real student needs, making the platform simple, intuitive, and truly useful. With a strong foundation now in place, the app is ready for future upgrades like personalized recommendations and deeper learning insights. It’s a project I’m proud to have crafted, streamlining education while delivering meaningful value for both students and the business.
